ALTHA x Marie Claire Arabia Wellness Event
The Marie Claire Arabia Wellness Event unfolded over three days at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, transforming The Arcades into a curated space dedicated to movement, sensory awareness, and integrative health. Designed as a multi-day immersion, the event reflected a clear evolution in how wellness is being defined across the UAE — moving beyond surface-level self-care toward regulation, longevity, and nervous-system health.
As high-performance lifestyles, long work hours, and constant digital stimulation continue to shape life in Abu Dhabi and the wider region, conversations around stress, burnout, and sustainable wellbeing are becoming increasingly relevant. The Marie Claire Arabia Wellness Event responded to this cultural moment by bringing together leaders from fitness, luxury, medicine, and holistic health.
Day 1: Performance, Measurement & Physical Intelligence
The opening day focused on physical wellbeing and performance optimization. Guests explored movement and sound-based practices alongside advanced body-composition insights by Technogym, highlighting measurable markers such as muscle mass, mobility, hydration, and recovery. The presence of Porsche reinforced the connection between precision, design, and performance — positioning wellness not as an indulgence, but as a strategic investment in long-term resilience and efficiency. The tone was clear from the start: modern wellness is as much about intelligence and structure as it is about feeling good.
Day 2: Sensory Awareness & the Hypno-Sound Bath
As the event progressed, the focus shifted inward — from performance metrics to sensory regulation and nervous-system balance.
Guests were guided through a fragrance journey by Atyab Al Marshoud, led by Fatima Hassan, using scent as a tool for presence, memory, and emotional awareness. This was followed by a ceremonial cacao ritual prepared with cacao by Live Within. Far from a casual beverage, ceremonial cacao was intentionally introduced as a grounding practice — supporting heart coherence, nervous-system softening, and emotional openness. Movement and integration continued with yoga led by Adrienne Everett, with mats provided by Alo Yoga, alongside skincare moments by Shiseido, creating a seamless blend of movement, ritual, and care.
The experience culminated with ALTHA’s signature Hypno-Sound Bath, led by Letizia Silvestri, Board-Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Sound Healer. Unlike traditional sound baths, ALTHA’s Hypno-Sound Bath™ integrates therapeutic hypnosis with live sound frequencies, guiding participants into a parasympathetic, restorative state. Through crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes, tuning forks, and voice-led hypnotic induction, the experience addressed stress, burnout, and nervous-system overload — challenges increasingly common in high-pressure professional environments. Rather than asking participants to “relax,” the session created the conditions for the nervous system to regulate itself — supporting mental clarity, emotional balance, and deeper rest.
ALTHA’s Hypno-Sound Bath offered a science-informed, experiential approach to stress and recovery, designed for modern professionals navigating high-performance demands.
Day 3: Longevity, Hormones & the Future of Wellbeing
The final day expanded the conversation toward longevity and integrated health in collaboration with Skinly. Speakers included Maye Musk, alongside Joy Summer, Mary Cristine, Hala Bassam, Dr. Adeel Khan, and Dr. Tina Chagoury.
Discussions explored hormonal health, regenerative medicine, gut health, and sustainable approaches to aging well — reinforcing the idea that wellbeing is cumulative and deeply interconnected.
A Shift Toward Nervous-System–Led Wellness
Across all three days, the Marie Claire Arabia Wellness Event highlighted a clear shift in how wellness is being approached in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. While performance, beauty, and longevity remain important, nervous-system regulation is increasingly recognized as foundational.
ALTHA’s Hypno-Sound Bath exemplified this evolution — offering a grounded, clinically informed experience that supports recovery, clarity, and resilience. As conversations around corporate wellness, executive health, and burnout prevention continue to grow, approaches that prioritize regulation over stimulation are setting a new standard for modern wellbeing.
