Floating Sound Bath at One&Only Royal Mirage

On Wednesday, December 10th, ALTHA debuted a new collaboration with Beyond Wellness at the iconic One&Only Royal Mirage, introducing a Floating Hypno-Sound Bath designed to support deep nervous-system regulation, stress relief, and mental clarity.

Hosted at the resort’s main pool along the Esplanade, the experience brought together 35 guests for an immersive, water-based sound journey — marking an important moment for corporate wellness activations in Dubai, where demand for evidence-informed, experiential wellbeing continues to rise.

A Collaboration Rooted in Intention and Precision

The evening was created in partnership with Beyond Wellness, founded by Rachel, whose work focuses on thoughtfully curated wellness experiences for modern professionals. Together, ALTHA and Beyond Wellness designed an activation that balanced aesthetic excellence with scientific grounding — a hallmark increasingly expected by corporate and luxury hospitality audiences in the UAE.

Inside the Floating Hypno-Sound Bath

The session was led by Letizia Silvestri, Board-Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Sound Healer, and founder of ALTHA.

Guests floated on custom mattresses while being guided through a structured hypnotic induction, layered with live sound from crystal alchemy bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, ocean drum, tuning forks (528 Hz), and chimes. The experience was intentionally paced to move participants from cognitive activity into parasympathetic rest — a state associated with improved emotional regulation, reduced cortisol, and enhanced mental clarity. Unlike traditional sound baths, ALTHA’s Hypno-Sound Bath™ integrates therapeutic hypnosis with sound frequencies, allowing the nervous system to become more receptive to regulation and suggestion. This combination is particularly effective for high-performing individuals navigating chronic stress, decision fatigue, and burnout — common themes in corporate wellness programs across Dubai and the GCC.

The Science Behind Sound and Water

Sound healing continues to gain traction in corporate and hospitality wellness due to its accessibility and measurable impact on the nervous system. Research shows that even brief, guided sound or meditation sessions can positively influence brainwave activity, shifting participants from high-beta (stress) states toward alpha and theta — associated with relaxation, creativity, and emotional balance.

Water adds another layer. The conductive properties of water amplify vibrational transmission, making floating sound experiences especially potent. This concept echoes the work of Masaru Emoto, whose experiments explored how sound, intention, and frequency affect water structure — a compelling parallel given the human body’s high water content.

While ALTHA remains grounded in clinical hypnosis and nervous-system science, these insights help explain why guests often report deeper relaxation, improved sleep, and a sense of mental “reset” following floating sound experiences.

Why This Matters for Corporate Wellness in Dubai

As companies across Dubai increasingly invest in corporate wellness, executive wellbeing, and experiential stress-management solutions, there is a growing shift away from purely performative wellness toward modalities that deliver real physiological impact.

Events like the Floating Hypno-Sound Bath at One&Only Royal Mirage demonstrate how luxury hospitality venues can partner with specialist practitioners to offer high-calibre, science-informed wellness activations — suitable for private groups, leadership retreats, brand experiences, and corporate offsites.

A Foundation for Future Activations

This December event marked the first of several planned collaborations between ALTHA and Beyond Wellness, with future activations exploring floating experiences, private corporate bookings, and bespoke wellness programs across Dubai and the UAE.

With its blend of precision, aesthetics, and evidence-based practice, the Floating Hypno-Sound Bath represents a new standard for immersive corporate wellness experiences in Dubai — where relaxation is not an indulgence, but a performance strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A. A floating sound bath takes place on water, with guests supported on floating mattresses while sound is played live. Water acts as a natural conductor of vibration, allowing sound frequencies to be felt more deeply through the body. Compared to a traditional sound bath on land, the floating format enhances relaxation, sensory immersion, and nervous-system regulation, making it particularly effective for stress relief and mental reset.

  • A. Floating sound baths support corporate wellness by helping participants downshift from chronic stress into a regulated, restorative state. The combination of sound, guided focus, and buoyancy reduces sensory overload, calms the nervous system, and improves mental clarity. For corporate teams and executives, this translates into better focus, emotional regulation, and recovery from burnout—key components of sustainable performance.

  • A. Yes. When delivered in a structured, evidence-informed way, sound healing is highly suitable for corporate and executive environments. ALTHA’s Hypno-Sound Bath™ integrates clinical hypnosis with sound frequencies to support measurable outcomes such as relaxation, stress reduction, and improved cognitive clarity. The experience is presented professionally, without spiritual or religious framing, making it accessible and appropriate for diverse corporate settings.

  • A. Even sessions as short as 20–30 minutes can have a meaningful impact on stress levels and mental state. Research on guided meditation and sound-based relaxation shows that brief, focused sessions can shift brain activity toward calmer states and support nervous-system regulation. In corporate wellness contexts, shorter formats are often ideal offering tangible benefits without requiring a full retreat-length commitment.
